Azim Jivan

Azim Jivan is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in power plant performance optimization and engineering consulting. Currently serving as a Senior Optimization Engineer at Atlantic Power Corporation since August 2012, Azim Jivan builds thermal models and provides technical support to energy services contracts. Prior to this role, Azim Jivan was a Consultant and Senior Performance Engineering Specialist at Bush Power Group LLC, where significant support was provided for the performance testing of the NRG Cedar Bayou Unit 4. Azim Jivan's career at Enron included various positions, culminating as an Engineering Specialist, where leadership was demonstrated in multiple utility consumption studies and performance modeling projects for major power plants, as well as participating in over 35 project proposals. Earlier experience at Boyce Engineering International involved the development and testing of integrated monitoring systems for turbo-machinery. Azim Jivan holds both a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Houston.
