Jakob Berntzen

Jakob Berntzen is a seasoned operations professional with extensive experience in the aquaculture industry. Currently serving as a Senior Operations Manager at Atlantic Sapphire since May 2020, Jakob specializes in pioneering land-based salmon farming, focusing on organizational development, strategic operations planning, and project execution. Prior roles include Operations Manager and Project Manager at SalMar Farming, where responsibilities involved improving operational processes and overseeing avlusingsoperasjoner. Jakob also held positions related to operations and development management, facilitating recruitment for marine studies at NTNU, and executing quality control as a Project Associate at SalMar ASA. Educationally, Jakob holds a Master of Science degree in Biopolymer Chemistry and Biochemistry from Norges teknisk-naturvitenskapelige universitet (NTNU), completed in 2016.
