Cary Ayers

Cary Ayers has extensive work experience in the banking industry. From 2004 to present, Ayers has held the position of Senior Vice President and Commercial Banking Team Leader at Atlantic Union Bank. In this role, Ayers develops and implements financing solutions for businesses and individuals in the Richmond, VA area, manages a portfolio of $100MM, and generates new business through prospecting and community service. Prior to this, Ayers held various roles at First Market Bank, including Commerical Banking Credit Analyst and Financial Services Advisor, from 2002 to 2004. In these roles, Ayers provided underwriting support, analyzed financial statements, and composed credit and analytical memorandums. Before joining First Market Bank, Ayers worked as a Business Analyst at The Computer Solution Company from 1999 to 2002.

Cary Ayers earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree from James Madison University between 1995 and 1999. During this time, Cary specialized in Computer Information Systems and Marketing. In 2016, Cary further pursued education at Louisiana State University and completed the Graduate School of Banking program in 2018. In addition to these educational achievements, Cary obtained a certification in Decentralized Finance (DeFi): The Future of Finance Specialization from Duke University in October 2022.
