Joel Villanueva

Joel Villanueva is an accomplished Communications Manager at Atlantis Casino Resort Spa, leading media relations, public relations campaigns, and community outreach initiatives since December 2020. With a robust background in sports broadcasting as the Sports Director for KRGV-TV (2007-2020), Joel anchored weekday sportscasts, managed departmental operations, and directed station coverage of various sporting events. Previous roles at WFAA and CW33 as a sports intern laid the foundation for a successful media career. Joel holds a Bachelor of Arts in Radio/Television/Film from the University of North Texas and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Strategic Communication & Innovation at Texas Tech University.
