Scott Timan

Scott Timan is a seasoned mining professional with extensive experience in mine planning and engineering. Currently serving as a Senior Mine Planner at Atlas Energy Solutions since May 2024, Timan previously held the same title at Hi-Crush from October 2018 to May 2024. Prior to that, Timan worked at Freeport-McMoRan from April 2012 to October 2018 in various senior mining engineering roles, focusing on project management, strategic planning, and blast engineering at the Bagdad and Sierrita sites. Timan's earlier career includes serving as Principal Mining Engineer at Vulcan Materials Company, Mine Manager at National Gypsum Company, and Mining Engineer at Arizona Portland Cement Company. Timan's career began with military service as a Captain in the U.S. Air Force. Timan holds a Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering from Michigan Technological University.
