Ilya Kaplan has worked in various roles in the IT industry since 2004. Ilya began their career as a Systems Administrator for the Department of Rutgers University, where they managed and oversaw IT related services for 250+ users and 15+ servers and services. Ilya also provided support to end users in the selection, procurement, usage, and maintenance of software programs and hardware. In 2004, they also worked as a Webmaster for Rutgers University, where they were part of an interdisciplinary team that created and established a new Rutgers University-Cook College course. Ilya then worked for Karmalarm Productions as a Web Developer/Systems Administrator, where they worked with Adobe CS to create logos, collages, and other graphics for web and print use. In the same year, they also worked as a Webmaster/Executive Board Member for Maslyn Studios, where they designed a dynamically content driven website and created a backend control panel web application using PHP and mySQL. Ilya then worked for Talent & Skills as a Developer in 2010, and also worked as a Systems Administrator for PNY Technologies and Rutgers Athletics in the same year. In 2018, they worked as VP of Centralized Services for Tech-keys, and currently works as an Automation Engineer for Atlas Technica since 2019.

Ilya Kaplan obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Rutgers University between 2000 and 2004.
