Jörg Hecker began their work experience in 1992 as the Managing Director at Campus GmbH. Jörg then moved on to become the Managing Director at ANDUPEZ GmbH in 1993. Later, in 1993, they took on the role of Head of Strategic Marketing at Melle-Pufe AG - Advertising Agency. In 1994, they became Shareholder, Head of Strategic Marketing, and Head of Business Development at Melle-Pufe Online GmbH - New Media & Design Agency. Jörg then worked as the Head of New Media at Publicis from 1996 to 1997. From 1998 to 2001, they served as CEO at Klug New Media GmbH - New Media & Design Agency. In 2002, they started working as the CEO at heckerconsult, a strategy consulting company. Finally, in March 2021, Jörg Hecker transitioned to the role of CEO at ATLAS.ti after 20 years of working as a consultant and COO for the company.
Jörg Hecker received their education from Technische Universität Berlin, where they obtained a Diplom Kaufmann TU (Master of Business Administration, Bachelors of Commerce) in Betriebswirtschaft (Business Administration) from 1989 to 1992. Jörg also pursued further education at Institut für Systemische Beratung Berlin (ISBB), earning a degree as a Coach and Organisational Counseler from 2009 to 2011. Additionally, Jörg Hecker has obtained certifications as a Coach and Organisational Counseler from Institut für systemische Beratungs- und Bildungswissenschaft, ISBB Weiterbildung und Wissenschaft, and as a Master of Science in Business Administration from Technische Universität Berlin.
