Ryan Huang

Ryan Huang is a Machine Learning Engineering Manager at Atlassian, responsible for leading a team within the central AI organization since March 2024. Previously, Ryan held the position of Principal Group Engineering Manager at Microsoft from September 2016 to March 2024, where leadership was provided to a team of over 30 engineers and applied scientists in the Microsoft Turing team, contributing to the launch of Microsoft Copilot across various products. Ryan's earlier experience includes roles as a Senior Software Engineering Manager and Senior Software Engineer at Microsoft, focusing on technology innovation for Bing and Cortana, as well as software engineering positions at Yahoo, Ztelic Inc., and Zynga, where proficiency in algorithm design and performance optimization was demonstrated. Ryan earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science from Beihang University.
