Myra Basar

Myra Basar has diverse work experience spanning over several years. Myra currently holds the position of Human Resources Director at Atmosphere Commercial Interiors, where they have been working since December 2020. Prior to this role, they served as the Human Resources Manager at the same company from September 2015 to December 2020.

Before joining Atmosphere Commercial Interiors, Myra worked as an HR Senior Specialist at RBC from November 2012 to September 2015. In this role, they were responsible for handling various HR-related tasks, including employee data management, benefits administration, payroll processing, and employee relations.

Myra also has experience as a Property Manager at Penan & Scott from December 2010 to June 2012.

From 2006 to 2011, Myra worked at the University of Maryland, College Park, where they held various roles, including Associate Director of HR, Payroll, Training & Development, and Assistant Director. Prior to their time at the University of Maryland, they served as a Community Director at the University of Maryland, College Park- Resident Life from 2001 to 2006.

Earlier in their career, Myra was the Director of Residence Life at Trinity University from 1999 to 2001, a Resident Director at SUNY Morrisville from 1996 to 1998, and an Assistant Hall Director at SUNY Oswego from 1994 to 1996.

Myra Basar earned their Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, Sociology, and Biology from the State University of New York at Oswego, completing their studies in 1994. Myra continued their education at the same institution and obtained a Master of Science degree in Counseling and Psychological Services between 1994 and 1996. In addition to their academic accomplishments, Myra Basar has obtained several certifications in the field of human resources. Myra became a Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) through SHRM in 2015 and also obtained the SHRM-SCP certification during the same year. In 2014, they earned the SPHR certification from HR Certification Institute - HRCI.
