Andy Sturrock is the current Chief Technology Officer at Atom bank. Andy has previously worked as the Head of Customer and Products Digital at bp from December 2010 to April 2022. In this role, they were responsible for the strategy, design and build of existing and new digital products, creating new customer touch points and revenue streams.

Andy led the Digital team of software engineers, architects, CX/UX designers and analysts responsible for products such as the BPMe mobile app (which doubled its user count to over 6m across 6 markets globally during COVID19) and the BP ChargeMaster EV charging app.

Under their leadership, the cycle time of new features was driven down from months to weeks using Agile and DevOps principles. Andy received feedback from senior stakeholders such as "wow - I've never seen IT done like this before!".

Andy Sturrock attended The University of Manchester, where they earned a BSc in Systems Integration. Andy then went on to earn an MEng in the same field. Andy has also earned certifications from LinkedIn in Be a Better Manager by Motivating Your Team and Daniel Pink on Motivation.

Andy Sturrock reports to Mark Mullen, CEO. Andy Sturrock works with Brian Seal - Chief Credit Officer, Lisa Wood - Chief Marketing Officer, and Rachael Mclauchlan - Chief Data Officer.
