Sylvia Johnson

Sylvia Johnson has extensive experience in compliance, data protection, and privacy. Sylvia'smost recent role is as the VP of Compliance at Atomic, starting in 2022. Prior to that, they were the Director of Data Protection at Splunk from 2021 to 2022, where they led the Product Data Protection team and managed the Corporate and Security Frameworks team. From 2017 to 2021, they worked at MobileIron, initially as the Deputy General Counsel & Data Protection Officer and later promoted to Associate General Counsel. At MobileIron, they managed the company's global data protection program and played a key role in building the GDPR compliance program. Sylvia has also held roles at Salesforce, Wells Fargo, ID Analytics, HealthTrio LLC, and The University of Arizona, where they focused on cybersecurity, privacy, and compliance.

Sylvia Johnson holds a J.D. degree from the University of California, College of the Law, San Francisco. Sylvia also has a B.A., magna cum laude, from Arizona State University. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications including Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP), Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM), Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E), Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US), and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
