Chief Product Officer at Atomize

Ellen Hartelius has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Starting in 2002, they worked as a sales assistant at Göteborgs Stadsmission until 2010. In 2004, they became a Laboratory Technician at SCA Hygiene Products and held the position until 2011. During this time, they also worked as a student recruiter at Chalmers University of Technology, facilitating the annual SVID competition.

In 2011, they transitioned into the field of design, starting as an Interaction and Product Designer at ESSIQ AB. Ellen then moved to Ascom, where they held multiple roles, including User Experience Concept Designer for Ascom Myco and Portfolio User Experience Strategist. At Ascom, they were responsible for setting visions for products, influencing strategic decision making, and creating intuitive interfaces.

In 2016, they joined Qmatic as a Product Manager and User Experience Lead. In this role, they managed Qmatic's cloud initiative and led user experience efforts for new products and interfaces.

Ellen's entrepreneurial spirit led their to found Blau in 2022, where they serve as a Founder and Design Leader.

Currently, they are working as the Chief Product Officer at Atomize. Ellen'smain responsibility is to ensure the development of a best-in-class product with a superb user experience for revenue managers and GMs in the hotel industry.

Ellen Hartelius has an educational background in industrial design engineering. Ellen obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Industrial Design Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology, starting in 2009 and completing it in 2011. Ellen also participated in an exchange program as an Erasmus student at Technische Universität Berlin in 2010. Prior to their master's degree, they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Teknisk Design from Chalmers University of Technology, completing it from 2005 to 2009.

In addition to their formal education, Ellen Hartelius has obtained a certification in "EN 62366 Medical devices: Application of usability engineering to medical devices" from SIS, the Swedish Standards Institute, in February 2012.
