Steve Townsend

Steve Townsend is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in the court reporting and transcription industry. Currently serving as CEO of TheRecordXchange since September 2014, Townsend oversees a SaaS-based workflow management application that enhances collaboration for professionals in the field. As President of the Speech to Text Institute since June 2020, Townsend presents a commitment to advancing quality standards in speech-to-text services. Prior leadership roles include Director at the American Association of Electronic Reporters and Transcribers, Inc. from May 2014 to June 2017, and Co-Owner of AVTranz until 2015. Townsend also held positions as President & CEO of FTR Limited and Co-Founder of the American Association of Electronic Reporters and Transcribers. Townsend's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Management from Arizona State University.
