Senior Innovation Scientist at Atomo Coffee

Taoran Wang has a diverse work experience in the field of food science and research. They are currently working as a Senior Innovation Scientist at Atomo Coffee since December 2022. Previously, they worked at Beyond Meat as a Biopolymer Scientist from June 2021 to December 2022. Before that, Taoran was a Postdoctoral Researcher at Oregon State University from August 2019 to June 2021, where their work focused on designing and fabricating edible packaging materials for fruit and vegetable products. Starting from January 2015 to June 2019, they were a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Connecticut. During this time, Taoran conducted research on nutrient delivery systems and the impact of dietary and lifestyle factors on chronic diseases. They also performed analytical methods to measure antioxidant capacity. Overall, Taoran has a strong background in food science and research, with expertise in bioactive compounds, packaging materials, and chronic disease prevention.

Taoran Wang completed a Master's degree in Health Services/Allied Health/Health Sciences, General at the University of Connecticut from 2013 to 2015. Afterward, from 2014 to 2019, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Nutrition Sciences at the same university.
