Elena Gustchina

Elena Gustchina is a Senior Staff Scientist in Innovation & Translation at ABL Inc., where since November 2017, Elena has been involved in the early development of novel vaccine candidates for infectious diseases, contributing from feasibility research to manufacturing transitions. Prior to this role, Elena was a Senior Scientist at Lonza, leading R&D technical projects focused on process development and improvement. Additional experience includes working as a Senior Process Scientist at Merck, a Biologist at the National Institutes of Health, and a Research Associate at both Tibotec, Inc. and SAIC National Cancer Institute, where Elena contributed to HIV research and therapeutic development. Elena holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from The George Washington University and a Master’s in Pharmacy from First Moscow State Medical University.
