Nauman Mirza

Associate Director Sterility Assurance & Microbiology at AtomVie Global Radiopharma Inc.

Nauman Mirza has a diverse work experience in the field of microbiology and quality assurance. Nauman currently holds the position of Associate Director Sterility Assurance & Microbiology at AtomVie Global Radiopharma Inc. Prior to this, they served as Associate Director Sterility Assurance & Microbiology at the Centre for Probe Development and Commercialization from 2018 to 2022. During their time at CPDC, they also worked as a Manager Microbiology & Sterility Assurance, where they led microbiology and sterility assurance programs and provided technical expertise aligned with current GMPs.

Before joining CPDC, Nauman worked as a Senior Consultant at NM Tech Support from 2017 to 2018. Nauman also served as Manager QA Microbiology at Apotex Inc. from 2013 to 2017, where they led microbiology and environmental monitoring teams and ensured compliance with regulatory requirements.

Prior to Apotex, Nauman worked at JAMJOOMPHARMA as an Associate Manager- Quality Operations (Microbiology & QA Validations) from 2007 to 2013. Nauman'sresponsibilities included supervising a team, reviewing and investigating deviation and non-conformance issues, and scheduling validation activities.

From 2001 to 2007, Nauman was employed at Johnson & Johnson as In-Charge Microbiology & Supplier Quality Management. Nauman was responsible for testing pharmaceutical goods, managing supplier quality, and implementing a predictive indicator tool.

Nauman's early work experience includes a role as a Quality Assurance/GMP/HSE Officer / Aseptic Area Supervisor at GSK from 1999 to 2001, where they performed testing and monitored environmental parameters. Nauman also worked as a Microbiologist at Liaquat National Hospital from 1995 to 1999.

Nauman Mirza completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Microbiology, Biochemistry & Chemistry from Karachi University between 1993 and 1995. Nauman then pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc) degree in Biochemistry with a thesis in Molecular Biology from Karachi University, which they obtained between 1995 and 1997.
