Jim Smith is the Head of Accessibility and Digital Inclusion for Atos in the UK & Ireland, a position held since July 2011, where responsibility includes managing and enhancing Accessibility and Digital Inclusion initiatives internally and with clients. Additionally, Jim is involved in the Global Accessibility Practice, shaping the overall strategy for the company. Jim has also worked as a Global eLearning Consultant, leading global eLearning initiatives and quality monitoring. Previous experiences include positions at Siemens IT Solutions and Services and University College Cork, with a strong foundation in technical training and research. Jim holds a PhD in Geology from University College Cork and various degrees including an MSc in Micropalaeontology and Palynology from the University of Southampton and a BSc (Hons) in Geology from the University of Glasgow.
