Joaquín Casanova

Joaquín Casanova has a diverse work experience in data engineering and analysis. Joaquín is currently working as a Lead Data Engineer at Atrato, where they are responsible for designing and building real-time and batch machine learning services. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Data Engineer at Rappi, where they designed the data infrastructure and built reliable data pipelines. Joaquín also worked as a Data Engineer at Crabi, where they designed and built automated pipelines for data ingestion and enabled rapid experimentation of new product initiatives. Joaquín has experience in data analysis and visualization, as well as IoT projects for industry 4.0, from their time as a Data Engineer at Bosch México. Joaquín also has experience as a Backend Developer & Co-Founder at Asesorías Dirac, where they worked on PHP, MySQL, and API development. Additionally, Joaquín worked as a Consult Analyst at Gain Dynamics, where they engaged in scraping data with Python and data management in Microsoft SQL Server. Joaquín also served as a Project Lead at CTIN Centro de Tecnología e Innovación.

Joaquín Casanova completed their Licenciatura en Física with a concentration in Física teórica y matemática at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México from 2009 to 2014. In addition to their degree, they have obtained several certifications in various fields. In November 2019, they completed the "Master Apache Airflow" course from Udemy. In April 2020, they obtained the certification for "REST APIs with Flask and Python" from Udemy, followed by a certification in "Data Engineering" from Udacity in May 2020. In October 2022, they completed the "dbt Fundamentals" course offered by dbt Labs. Most recently, in March 2023, Joaquín Casanova obtained a certification in "Linear Algebra for Machine Learning and Data Science" from DeepLearning.AI.
