Atreides Management, LP is a multi-billion dollar investment firm that focuses on technology and consumer companies in both public and private markets. Atreides is looking to hire an Associate Counsel who will support the GC/CCO in several areas, including private investment transactions, all stages of private fund lifecycles, regulatory developments and general corporate matters.
Primary Responsibilities
- Support the GC/CCO in many areas, primarily focusing on private investment transactions and private fund lifecycles
- Advise the firm’s investment and operational teams on a wide range of topics
- Negotiate several types of agreements (e.g., NDAs, service agreements and side letters)
- Stay apprised of relevant regulatory developments and analyze implications for the firm
- Cultivate strong working relationships with internal teams and external business partners (including outside counsel and compliance consultants)
Qualifications
- JD and 3-5 years of experience as an attorney in private equity transactional and general corporate law
- Experience with co-investment vehicles and separately managed accounts preferred
- Solid knowledge of the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and investment management industry
- Strong drafting skills (e.g., contracts, policies and disclosures) and oral/written communication skills
for both legal and non-legal audiences
- Dynamic and pragmatic self-starter with the ability to prioritize, multi-task and manage expectations
in a fast-paced collaborative environment
