Stefan Stefanov has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Stefan began their career in the United States Air Force, serving as an Airborne Warning and Controls Avionics Radar Technician both on active duty and in the reserve from 1998 to 2008.

Following their military service, Stefanov worked at BAE Systems as an Electrical Systems Engineer, where they were responsible for developing and reviewing engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, cable assemblies, and vendor item control drawings. Stefan ensured compliance with the Department of Defense's Specifications and Standards for component and system qualification.

Next, Stefanov joined CSC - Computer Sciences Corporation as an Electrical Validation/Certification Systems Engineer. In this role, they supported engineering activities for the US Army's Threat Systems Management Office, overseeing the Accreditation, Validation, and Certification activities for the design and implementation of threat representative electronic systems.

After that, Stefanov joined Hill-Rom as an Advanced Systems Engineer. Stefan developed business plans, drove voice of customer initiatives, and led product design efforts. Later, they were promoted to Senior Manager and then Director in the same department, indicating their growth and increased responsibilities within the organization.

Stefan also holds a B.S. degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Central Oklahoma, which they obtained from 2002 to 2005. Stefanov's education began with the completion of their High School Diploma at Adlai Stevenson H.S from 1992 to 1995.
