Rafael - Kambiz Khazani has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several industries and roles. Rafael - Kambiz started their career in 1984 as a Switching Operational Manager at Bezeq and then moved on to various positions at Cellcom, including Director of Operations and Design & Applications Senior Manager. During their time at Cellcom, they focused on network design, fixed services, NGN, and engineering.

In 2015, Rafael joined Life and Environment - The Israeli Union of Environmental NGOs as the Coordinator of "the Quality of Environment Committees" in the Local Authorities. Rafael - Kambiz later transitioned to the role of Municipal council "guard" at The Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel (SPNI), where they were responsible for improving and preserving the quality of life in the Tel Aviv municipality and preparing reports on threats to the environment and unique communities.

In 2014, Rafael also worked as an independent consultant at Tel.Eco.Sys, specializing in telecom, smart and sustainable city research, and urban digitization. Rafael - Kambiz focused on standardization and implementation of smart and sustainable city practices.

From 2016 to 2022, Rafael served as the Smart City Coordinator at Urban Innovation & Sustainability lab, Porter School of Environmental Studies, Tel Aviv University. Their work involved strategic and smart urban development, community resilience, sustainability, and city data research and evaluation.

Most recently, Rafael joined Atrinet in 2022 as a Senior System Engineer. Overall, they bring a wealth of experience in telecom, smart city development, environmental protection, and sustainability.

Rafael - Kambiz Khazani completed their undergraduate studies in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Technion - Israel Institute of Technology between the years 1979 and 1984, where they earned a BSC degree. Rafael - Kambiz then pursued further education in the field of Business Management, Marketing & Information Systems at Managment School Tel Aviv from 1987 to 1992, ultimately obtaining a B.B. degree. In 2014 to 2016, Rafael pursued a Master's Degree in Environmental Studies at The Porter School of Environmental Studies (PSES). Additionally, Rafael completed their undergraduate studies in Philosophy at Tel Aviv University from 2011 to 2016, earning a Bachelor's Degree.
