Allyson Cochran

Allyson Cochran, PhD, currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Epidemiology and Prevention at Wake Forest University School of Medicine since September 2023 and has been the Director of Data and Research at Atrium Health since March 2014. With extensive expertise in clinical data management and epidemiology, Allyson has led teams in developing innovative analytics-based solutions in surgical research. Significant contributions include predictive analytics models for post-surgical outcomes and the implementation of technology-based resources for clinical research initiatives. Previous roles include adjunct faculty at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and public health analyst positions with Gaston County and Mecklenburg County Health Departments. Allyson holds a PhD in Health Services Research, an M.S. in Public Health with a focus on Geographic Information Systems, and a BA in Biology, all from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
