Matt Hyland

Matt Hyland is a seasoned professional in growth capital investments, currently serving as the Director at Export Development Canada since January 2022, focusing on providing growth financing and governance expertise to high-growth Canadian enterprises. Previously, Matt held the position of Investment Manager in the same department and has been involved in various board observer roles at companies such as Waabi, Procurify, and Nulogy, alongside serving as a board member for Attabotics Inc. and Synaptive Medical. Before joining Export Development Canada, Matt was Director of Investments at Apex Capital LLC, managing a diverse portfolio of investments, and had significant consulting experience at Gotham Consulting Partners and Roland Berger Strategy Consultants. Matt holds an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and undergraduate degrees in Business Administration and Political Science from Western University, along with participation in European and Central Eastern European Business Investment Conferences.
