Maribel Nava has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. In 2017, they served as the Latinx Student Coordinator for the Undergraduate Minority Recruitment Program until 2020. In 2018, they interned at the Secretaria de Integración Social y Urbanizacion for two months. In 2019, Maribel worked as a Summer Legal Assistant at the CARA Pro Bono Project. Maribel then interned for a month in 2020 at the Centro de los Derechos del Migrante. Starting in 2020, Maribel became a Legal Assistant at Ayuda, where they stayed until 2022. Currently, they are a Client Experience Associate at Atticus, starting in November 2022. Additionally, Maribel had a brief internship experience in 2017 at the Digital Government Unit, Mexican Ministry of Public Administration.

Maribel Nava completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Sociology from Harvard University from 2016 to 2020. In February 2021, Maribel obtained a certification in the "Comprehensive Overview of Immigration Law E-Learning Course" from the Catholic Legal Immigration Network, Inc. (CLINIC).
