Roeland Werring

Tech lead & Co-Founder at Attrace

Roeland Werring has a diverse range of work experience. Beginning in 2004, they worked as an Artist, Songwriter, and Producer for Universal Records USA. Roeland then transitioned into the technology industry, starting as a Software Developer at Azerti BV from 2006 to 2008. From 2008 to 2013, they worked as a Software Developer at Powerhouse. In 2010, they co-founded Komparu and served as the Co-Founder and Tech lead until 2020. In 2014, they co-founded and invested in LinkBundle until 2018. Roeland then held the role of CTO at Knip AG from 2017 to 2020. During this time, they played a key role in merging with the leading Dutch InsurTech startup Komparu to create Digital Insurance Group (DIG). As the Group CTO at DIG, they designed and implemented solutions for the insurance sector, scaled and merged IT teams across three locations, and guided the successful exit to Zurich Insurance. Roeland then became the Tech lead and Co-Founder of Attrace from 2020 to present, where the platform uses blockchain technology to unlock insightful supply chain information. Finally, currently, they hold the position of a Software Engineer at PwC starting in 2022.

Roeland Werring completed their Master of Science (MSc) degree in Computer Software Engineering from the University of Groningen, where they studied from 1996 to 2003. Additionally, in 1996, they briefly attended Conservatorium Groningen and studied Guitar, although they did not receive a degree from this institution.
