Jay Shukla

Jay Shukla is an experienced Shift Engineer with a strong background in power generation and process operations. Currently at Atura Power since March 2017, Jay oversees a combined cycle plant comprising two GE gas turbines and one steam turbine, collectively generating 550 MW. Previous roles include Operating Engineer at Air Liquide and Shift Engineer at Veresen Inc., where responsibilities involved operating a 400 MW power plant with Siemens gas turbines. Jay's extensive experience spans various positions at Air Liquide Canada, including Backup Chief and SMR/ASU Shift Engineer, focusing on continuous improvement, maintenance procedures, and team supervision. Early career experience includes roles as a Process Operator at Bartek Ingredients and Junior Plant Operator during a co-op at Portlands Energy Centre, along with initial customer service experience at Pizza Hut. Jay holds education credentials from St. Clair College and certifications from the Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA).
