Brent Kearney has a diverse work experience in the technology and software development field. Brent is currently working as a Senior Software Developer at atVenu since 2022. Prior to this, Brent was the owner of Netmojo Systems in 2002.

From 2003 to 2022, Brent worked at The University of British Columbia as a BIRS Technology Manager. In this role, they were responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining software and hardware systems for the Banff International Research Station (BIRS) for Mathematical Innovation and Discovery. Brent successfully created an end-to-end fully automated video recording system that significantly increased the number of research videos by 20x per week and improved production quality.

In their early career, Brent worked as a Technology Manager for BIRS at The Banff Centre in 2003. Prior to that, they served as a Systems Administrator at MITACS from 2000 to 2003. Brent also gained experience as an IT Support and Web developer at Simon Fraser University from 1998 to 2000.

Brent Kearney earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from Simon Fraser University between 1998 and 2003. In addition to their undergraduate degree, they obtained certifications as a Certified Professional Webmaster from the World Organization of Webmasters in May 2010, and as an Apple Certified System Administrator from Apple in January 2008.
