Michael Lynch is an experienced marine engineer with a strong background in power plant operations and marine engineering. Currently serving as First Engineer at Atwood Oceanics since June 2013, responsibilities include supervising the marine engineering department on a Semi-Submersible Drilling vessel, maintaining a 42 Mega Watt power plant, and updating operational documentation. Previous roles include Operating Engineer/Mechanic at Con Edison, where expertise in steam generation was utilized, and Marine Engineer Officer with the Marine Engineers Beneficial Association, overseeing the maintenance of vessel equipment and managing automation projects. Additionally, service experience was gained as a Service Supervisor at Carrier Corporation, where contract management and customer service were paramount. Michael Lynch holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Facilities Engineering from the State University of New York Maritime College and further education from the New York Institute of Technology.
