M.D. Arafat Hossain

Md Arafat Hossain currently serves as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant at Auburn University since August 2021. With extensive experience in academia, Hossain has held various positions at BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology since September 2012, including Assistant Professor and Senior Lecturer, focusing on courses in Textile Engineering and Textile Technology Management, as well as subjects related to CSR, SRHR, and IL. Hossain is notable for being the first Bangladeshi Textile Engineer to receive the Fulbright Fellowship, pursuing a Master's in Textile Science at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln from August 2019 to May 2021. Prior roles include lecturer and program coordinator at Atish Dipankar University of Science and Technology and quality assurance inspector at TÜV SÜD. Hossain holds multiple degrees, including a Ph.D. in Business Family and Consumer Sciences from Auburn University (expected 2025), and a Master's in Textile, Merchandising & Fashion Design from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, among others.
