James Walker

James Walker is the Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer at AuburnBank. James has over 20 years of experience in the accounting industry.

James started their career at Jackson Thornton in 1996 as a Senior Accountant. In 2000, they left Jackson Thornton to join KPMG US as a Manager. James spent four years at KPMG before joining Carr, Riggs & Ingram in 2004. James spent 11 years at Carr, Riggs & Ingram, and was promoted to Partner in 2009.

In November 2015, James left Carr, Riggs & Ingram to join AuburnBank as their Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer.

James Walker completed their undergraduate degree at Auburn University at Montgomery, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in accounting.

James Walker reports to Robert W. Dumas, Chairman, President & CEO. James Walker works with S. Mark Bridges Sr. - SVP Commercial & Consumer Loans, Marla Kickliter - SVP Compliance & Internal Auditor, and David Hedges - EVP & CFO.
