Dave Watson

Dave Watson has a diverse work experience in various sustainability and community-focused roles. Dave has worked as the Lead Regional Partnerships - Climate Action at Auckland Council, providing support for event organizers to transition to managing Zero Waste events. Dave has also been the Director NZ at GreenShoot Pacific, where they provided sustainability services and training in the events and sports sectors. Dave has experience as a Program Delivery Manager at Diversity Works New Zealand, addressing talent shortage issues in the construction sector through diversity and inclusion initiatives. At the Sustainable Business Network, they served as the National Network Manager, focusing on developing relationships with business members and promoting sustainable practices. Additionally, Dave has worked as an Associate at The Natural Step NZ, Manager at Grey Lynn Farmers' Market, and Sustainability Manager at Splore - Outdoors Music and Arts Festival. Dave also has experience as a Sustainability Consultant, Business Development/Co-Presenter, and Post Graduate Student. Dave Watson completed their education at various institutions. Dave obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Sustainable Practice from Otago Polytechnic | Te Pūkenga in 2012-2013. In 1992-1993, they obtained an Advanced Certificate in Professional Photography from Unitech Design School in Auckland, New Zealand.
