Dionyssos Kounadis-Bastian is a Senior AI Researcher at audEERING GmbH since March 2022, specializing in machine learning for emotional analysis of speech. Prior to this, Dionyssos worked as a Computer Vision Scientist at Marelli from January 2019 to February 2022, contributing to the company’s Autonomous Driving division following its acquisition of Smart Me Up. Dionyssos also held a Computer Vision Scientist position at MM Smart Me Up from November 2017 to February 2022, focusing on machine learning applications in autonomous driving. Earlier experience includes a postdoctoral role at Inria from January 2014 to September 2017, concentrating on audio source separation for humanoid robots, and pursuing a PhD at the same institution from 2014 to 2017, with research on variational Bayesian methods for audio source separation. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science from Université Grenoble Alpes and an Engineer's degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Patras.
