Michael Kruppa is the Head of Front Light Development at AUDI AG, a position they have held since 2022. Previously, they served as the Head of Light Innovation and Function Development/Testing and held multiple leadership roles focused on automotive lighting and innovation at AUDI AG from 2021 to 2022. Prior to their time at AUDI, Michael worked at OSRAM as a Manager of Material Innovation, specializing in LED-based materials from 2009 to 2013, and also contributed to polymer development for High Power LEDs. They began their research career as a Postdoctoral Associate in Medical Organic Chemistry at the University of California San Diego from 2005 to 2006. Michael earned their degree from Universität Regensburg, where they studied from 1997 to 2005.
