Farida Virani

Farida Virani is a seasoned software development professional with extensive experience in software engineering and management. Currently serving as a Software Development Manager II at Audible since April 2019, Farida's career progression includes roles as a Software Development Engineer II and I. Prior to Audible, a tenure at Soroco involved significant contributions to a widely-used Windows application, enhancing both functionality and performance while gaining insights into client-facing responsibilities. An undergraduate research assistant at MIT Media Lab, Farida explored the dynamics of social-emotional relationships between robots and children, contributing to research involving the social robot Tega. Farida holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Wellesley College, an MBA from the Questrom School of Business at Boston University, and has participated in a fellowship at The Madeleine Korbel Albright Institute for Global Affairs.
