Rafael Kassier is an experienced engineer and researcher in the field of audio engineering, currently serving as a Senior Principal Engineer at HARMAN International since April 2020, focusing on scientifically quantifying subjective experiences. Kassier holds multiple leadership roles within the Audio Engineering Society, including Chair and Vice-Chair of the AES Technical Council, Co-Chair of the Technical Committee on Automotive Audio, and Chairman of the South German Section. Previous positions include Manager of Subjective Evaluations at Harman/Becker Automotive Systems and Research Fellow at the Institute of Sound Recording, University of Surrey. Kassier earned a PhD in Audio Engineering and a BMus (Tonmeister) in Music and Sound Recording from the University of Surrey.
