Vesa Välimäki

Vesa Välimäki is the current Committee Chair at the Audio Engineering Society. Vesa has an extensive background in signal processing, having been a professor of signal processing at Tampere University of Technology and a visiting scholar at Stanford University. Vesa's research has led to many joint publications.

Vesa Välimäki studied acoustics and audio signal processing at the Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan, where they earned their Doctor of Science in Technology. Vesa also earned their Master of Science (M.Sc.) at Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan in the same field. Vesa Välimäki's high school education was completed at Oulunkylän yhteiskoulu.
