Gary Dixon, CPMM has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Gary began their career as a Lead Videographer at Mosher Media, where they worked until 1999. Following this, they joined the City of Hudson - HCTV as a Production Assistant, gaining experience in video editing, shooting, and producing programs. In addition, they troubleshooted and repaired video and audio electronics while assisting with the broadcast journalism curriculum.
In 2000, Gary joined Int, Inc. as an Installer, where they designed and installed audio and video systems for various organizations, including churches, schools, and community centers. During their time there, they also provided training to customers on installed and existing systems.
In 2004, Gary joined CAD Audio, LLC as the National Sales Manager for the Astatic brand. Gary successfully managed a network of 15 independent sales representatives across North America and played key roles in new product development, marketing strategies, technical writing, and product launch.
In 2012, Gary worked as a Sales Representative at SR-Marketing before joining Audio-Technica in 2013. At Audio-Technica, they served in several roles, starting as a Sales Engineer for Installed Sound, where they demonstrated technical expertise and provided support to integrators and end users. Gary subsequently became a Senior Application Engineer, delivering technical product presentations to commercial AV integrators, consultants, and end users. In their most recent role as a Product Manager, Gary led the identification, definition, and examination phase of new product ideas while collaborating closely with sales, marketing, application engineers, resellers, and end users to capture customer needs and analyze market requirements.
Currently, Gary serves as the Director of Broadcast Business Development at Audio-Technica, utilizing their extensive experience and expertise to drive growth in the broadcast sector.
Gary Dixon, CPMM, pursued their education at Ashland University from 1999 to 2003. There, they completed their degree in Electronic Media Production, with a specialization in TV, Radio, and Video production.
In addition to their formal education, Gary has obtained several certifications to enhance their professional skills. One such certification is the Certified Product Marketing Manager (CPMM) from AIPMM, which they obtained in September 2021. This certification demonstrates their expertise in product marketing and management.
Furthermore, Gary holds a Dante Level 2 Certification from Audinate, acquired in June 2018. This certification signifies their proficiency in using Dante audio networking technology. Additionally, they possess a Certified Technology Specialist certification from InfoComm, obtained in March 2013, showcasing their knowledge and competence in audiovisual systems and technologies.
