Xiangnan REN, Ph.D

Xiangnan REN, Ph.D has a diverse work experience in various research and development roles. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Research and Development (Moonshot) at Audiomob since November 2022. Prior to this, Xiangnan worked at G42 as a Senior Research and Development Manager from April 2022 to November 2022. While at G42, they also served as the Head of Research and Development, Sports Analytics from August 2020 to April 2022, and as a Research Scientist from May 2019 to August 2020. Xiangnan's experience also includes working as a Software Engineer at Criteo from December 2018 to April 2019. From July 2015 to October 2018, Xiangnan worked at Atos as a PhD, Doctoral Researcher in Big Data. During this time, they conducted research in distributed systems, stream processing, databases, semantic web, knowledge graph, and computational logic. They also played a role as a Research Engineer at Atos and contributed to the design of the computing core for the French national environmental project WAVES FUI #17. Additionally, they worked on creating and deploying applications of Big Data and Semantic Web for IoT/Smart City use cases in Suze Group. Xiangnan's early work experience includes being a Machine Learning Engineer at Capgemini, where they built machine learning models for sales prediction and client segmentation for La Redoute. They also participated in training courses on Hadoop and Teradata. Lastly, they had an MSc thesis and engineering internship at Inria from May 2014 to October 2014.

Xiangnan REN, Ph.D has a diverse educational background in computer science and mathematics. From 2015 to 2018, Xiangnan pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Computer Science at Université Paris-Est and ISEP - école d'ingénieurs du numérique. Prior to that, from 2009 to 2014, Xiangnan obtained an Engineer Diploma in Applied Mathematics from Institut national des Sciences appliquées de Rouen. In 2013 and 2014, Xiangnan also earned a Double Diploma, MSc Parallel, in Financial and Actuarial Mathematics from Université de Rouen.

Furthermore, Xiangnan has demonstrated a commitment to continuous learning and professional development through additional certifications. In March 2017, Xiangnan successfully completed the "Parallel programming in Scala" course offered by Coursera, with a grade of 100%. This certification was issued by École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne.
