Audit New Zealand is the leading provider of audit and assurance services to the public sector. 

We examine the financial and non-financial statements of public entities. This helps ensure that taxpayers and ratepayers are getting value from their investment. As well as auditing financial matters, we evaluate publicly funded organisations in areas of sensitive expenditure, effectiveness and efficiency, waste, and a probity or financial prudence.

The Audit and Assurance team at Audit New Zealand conducts thorough audits and evaluations of public sector entities. Their work ensures transparency, accountability, and value for taxpayers' and ratepayers' investments by examining financial statements, assessing sensitive expenditure, evaluating operational effectiveness and efficiency, and scrutinizing financial prudence and probity. The team includes Senior Auditors, Audit Managers, Directors, and Specialists who collaborate to uphold the integrity and efficiency of publicly funded organizations.
