Darren Griffiths

Darren Griffiths is an experienced audit and governance professional currently serving as an Employee Board Member at Wales Audit Office Board since January 2023 and as an Audit Manager at Audit Wales since July 2020. Previously, Darren held the position of Governance Manager at North Wales Police, where a comprehensive review of governance arrangements was successfully completed, resulting in enhanced practices and structures. Prior roles include Head of Strategic Change at Bangor University, where transformational change programmes were delivered, and Strategic Planning Manager at Gwynedd Council, overseeing multi-disciplinary teams and establishing key strategic frameworks. Darren's early career also includes a role at Conwy Local Health Board, where a robust performance management framework was created. Educationally, Darren holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Social Policy and a Post Graduate Certificate in Community Development from Bangor University, as well as a Master of Arts in Change Management from Liverpool John Moores University.
