Sarai Walsh has a diverse range of work experience. In 2010, they worked as a Substitute Teacher at NISTR until 2011. From 2011 to 2012, they worked at Belfast Health and Social Care Trust, first as a Nurse Bank Administrator and then as an E-Rostering Administrator. Sarai was part of the implementation team for the E-Rostering system and received awards for their work. In 2017, Sarai joined AuditComply, initially working as a Customer Support and Application Specialist before becoming a Project Manager in November 2018.

Sarai Walsh completed their education at several institutions. Starting from 1999 to 2006, they attended Friends School Lisburn for their primary and secondary education. In 2006, Sarai enrolled at Queen's University Belfast, where they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in History and Politics, completing their studies in 2009.

Following their undergraduate studies, they joined Ulster University in 2009 and completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) with a focus on Secondary History Teaching in 2010.

In terms of additional certifications, Sarai Walsh obtained the PRINCE2® 2017 Foundation & Practitioner certification from AXELOS Global Best Practice in January 2021.
