Babalwa Kulu

Babalwa Kulu is an experienced IT audit professional with a strong background in data analytics and IT general controls. Currently serving as an Assistant IT Audit Manager at the Auditor-General of South Africa since May 2017, Babalwa leads data analytics initiatives for municipalities, departments, and state-owned companies while also overseeing IT general controls and process reviews. Prior experience includes a role as an IT Internal Auditor at Clientele Limited, where responsibilities encompassed designing audit programs and conducting comprehensive reviews of IT systems and operations. Babalwa began a career in auditing at Nkonki Incorporated, progressing from IT Audit Trainee to acting supervisor, gaining proficiency in various audit processes and methodologies. Babalwa holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting Science from the University of South Africa, completed in 2008.
