Ahmed Barakat has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Ahmed co-founded AUG Pharma in 2019, where they served as the Country Director for AUG Tanzania. Prior to that, in 2009, they founded and served as the CEO of Expo One, an exhibition organizing and trade company. In 2020, they founded and acted as the CEO of V Estate Expo, the first virtual exhibition in Africa and the MENA region. From 2017 to 2021, Ahmed was the Co-founder and Managing Director of Grand Technology, a telecommunications and information technology company. Ahmed also worked as an Insurance Development Manager at Orient Takaful Insurance Egypt, a Marketing and Sales Consultant at Care Plus for Medical care ltd, and a Business Development Manager at Willis Towers Watson. Ahmed's earlier experience includes roles at UNDP, Allianz, and Misron.
Ahmed Barakat attended Middlesex University from 1999 to 2004. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts major in Economics and a Bachelor of Business Administration, specializing in Economics-Business. Prior to their university education, Ahmed attended College Des Frères Bab El Look - Port Said Schools IGCSE, although specific dates and degrees obtained from this institution are not provided.
