Maria Ziv has a long and varied work experience in the medical device industry. Maria began their career in 2009 as an R&D engineer at LifeBond. In 2012, they moved to MIS Implants Technologies Ltd. as a Project Manager. From 2015 to 2016, Maria held the role of R&D Manager at Implant-B, where their responsibilities included managing all company activities, managing the business aspects of the company, establishing a QA system according to ISO13485, and developing products from concept to final product. In 2017, Maria moved to Cardiac Implants LLC and held three roles: Director of R&D, Director QA & RA, and Project Manager. In 2023, Maria began working at Augmedics as a Project Manager.
Maria Ziv received a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in 2010. Maria is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration - MBA in Startup MBA at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, which they are expected to complete in 2023.

Augmedics developed the pioneering xvision spine system, the first augmented reality guidance system for surgery, allowing surgeons to “see” the patient’s anatomy through skin and tissue as if they have “x-ray vision,” and to accurately navigate instruments.
