Ian Shakil

Ian Shakil is the founder, director, and chief strategy officer of Augmedix. Ian has 10 years of experience with the company, during which time they have also served as chairman of the board and CEO. In their current role, they oversee corporate strategy, corporate development, and business development. Ian is also responsible for partnerships and Ambient Automation Platform conversions. Prior to their work with Augmedix, Shakil was an advisor for Edwards Lifesciences, a marketing and business development consultant for MC10, and an operations manager for HealthTech Capital (part-time). Ian has also interned with Intuitive Surgical and PixelOptics.

Ian Shakil attended Stanford University's Graduate School of Business, where they obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA). Ian was also Co-President of the Healthcare Club, Stanford Biodesign, and the Entrepreneurship Club, d.school, and Global Study Trip: Israel, Global Study Trip: Nigeria. Prior to attending Stanford, Shakil obtained their BSE from Duke University in Biomedical Engineering. At Duke, they were also Class President (Engineering School), Phi Delta Theta Fraternity, Duke Start-Up Challenge, and Founder of IndyPay. Ian also completed research projects in Liposome-based Drug Delivery and Instrumented Walker. Lastly, Shakil is a graduate of J.P. Taravella High School.
