Tirzah Enumah has an extensive work experience in the field of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Tirzah is currently working as a Practice Lead for Operationalizing Equity and Inclusion at August Public since June 2021. Prior to that, they worked as an Independent Consultant from July 2020 to June 2021.
From 2017 to 2020, Tirzah served as the VP of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at New Teacher Center (NTC), where they led efforts to increase diversity, build a culture of inclusion, and strengthen equity in the organization's work with educators. Tirzah developed and implemented strategies, tracked progress using metrics, and supported NTC's growth initiatives.
Before joining NTC, Tirzah held various roles at Level 10 Learning (formerly uKnow) as a Teacher and Project Manager. Tirzah managed and delivered academic and college readiness programs, serving numerous clients and achieving high satisfaction rates from students.
In 2009, Tirzah worked as a Senior Associate in the Office of Human Capital at District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS), where they contributed to teacher recruitment and developed strategic communications for a new teacher assessment system.
Additionally, Tirzah has experience as a Summer Fellow at Performance Fact, Inc. (Education Pioneers) in 2008.
Throughout their career, Tirzah has demonstrated a strong focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion, and has played vital roles in developing and implementing strategies to advance these principles in various organizations.
Tirzah Enumah holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Stanford University Graduate School of Business, completed from 2008 to 2010. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Education Policy, Organization, and Leadership Studies from Stanford University between 2007 and 2008. Tirzah'sundergraduate education was at Yale University, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English from 2001 to 2005.
