Chris Eden

Chris Eden is the current Finance Director at Augusta Ventures. Prior to that, they were the Group Finance Director at Ameera Group from November 2019 to July 2021. There, they were responsible for leading the Ameera finance team in producing management and statutory accounts plus handling all payrolls and taxes (VAT, PAYE/NIC, Corporation tax) for over 40 companies.

Some key achievements during their time at Ameera Group include successfully leading the implementation of significant system improvements (sales, purchases, payroll management, and general bookkeeping practice), as well as enhancing treasury management practices to improve performance and accuracy across Ameera’s finance function - increasing efficiency, accuracy and reducing burden on key board members.

They also introduced and developed Financial Planning & Analysis and Business Case evaluation methodology to add value to business decision making, including advising on several multi-million pound investment projects. Lastly, they successfully guided cash flow management for internal and client companies through the COVID period, including liaison with banks to obtain appropriate funding support.

Chris Eden has a MA in Mathematics and Computation from the University of Oxford, and A-levels in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, French, Chemistry from Winchester College. Chris also has certification from ICAEW as a Fellow Chartered Accountant.
