Omid Rouhani

Growing up in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, Omid witnessed a historical transformation of a small coastal town into a thriving and ever enhancing metropolis. This exciting growth inspired him to obtain his undergraduate and later graduate degree in Architecture, and more specifically in Desert Architecture from the University of Arizona, USA.

He has more than 28 years of professional and academic experience in Europe, North American and the Arabia peninsula which has helped him develop an architectural style and language that is very much unique and against the mainstream of design in the MENA region, and as a result has placed him in the Top 40 MENA Region Architectural Power List two years in row.

As a Director, Omid has been actively involved in practice management, business development, registration, licensing and most recently design management and coordination with World Expo 2020 projects. Parallel to his professional work in architecture, he is also a long serving professor at Zayed University, Dubai, UAE.
