Mohamed Navas

Mohamed Navas has a diverse work experience spanning several roles in finance and accounting. Mohamed currently holds the position of Chief Accountant at Aura Group. Previously, they worked at Midas Safety Sri Lanka, where they held various positions including Finance Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis Manager, and Deputy Manager Finance. Before that, they were an Assistant Manager Costing at Almarai, and an Accounts Assistant at Suntel Ltd. Throughout their career, Mohamed has demonstrated skills in financial reporting, budgeting, and team leadership.

Mohamed Navas began their education in 2002 at the University of Colombo, where they pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA Hons.) with a specialization in Finance. Mohamed completed their undergraduate degree in 2006.

In 2003, Navas enrolled at AAT Sri Lanka, studying Accounting and Finance. Mohamed obtained their MAAT qualification in 2004.

Navas then joined the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka in 2004 for a program in Chartered Accountancy, which they completed in 2005.

After several years, Navas continued their education in 2015 by entering Cardiff Metropolitan University. Mohamed pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, specializing in an unspecified field of study. Mohamed completed their MBA in 2016.

From 2016 to 2018, Navas attended CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants), focusing on Accounting and Finance.

Currently, Navas is pursuing a CMA (Certified Management Accountant) degree with a specialization in Accounting and Finance from CMA (Australia). This program is expected to conclude in 2023.
