Tayla Hill

Tayla Hill is an Engineering Geologist at Aurecon since March 2022, bringing previous experience as a Sample Catcher at Greymouth Petroleum Limited and as a Summer Research Student and Lab Demonstrator at the University of Otago. At the University of Otago, Tayla supported the teaching of Earth and Ocean Science labs and conducted research on a turbidite sequence from Eastern Fiordland, focusing on provenance using Zircon minerals and Neodymium isotopes. Tayla also completed an internship at NIWA, where tasks included characterizing seafloor features around methane deep sites using hydro-acoustic data. Tayla earned a Master of Science in Geophysics with a specialization in Marine Geophysics, following a Bachelor of Science with a double major in Geology and Oceanography, both from the University of Otago.
